BABYMONSTER’s Ahyeon did not participate in the group’s debut just over two months ago due to health reasons
With BABYMONSTER’s debut, fans were divided, as while they attended the release of “Batter Up” on November 26, 2022, they also regretted that the member Ahyeon was unable to debut with the group for health reasons, which led them to speculate about the idol’s future with the group.
However, fandom concerns about Ahyeon seems to be close to the end. This because, Yang Hyun SukCEO of YG Entertainment, revealed through a video published on BABYMONSTER’s official YouTube channel, what the group’s next steps will be, including news about the debut of Ahyeon.
In the statement, Yang Hyun Suk reported that, unlike the debuts of groups like 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, he plays a bigger role in BABYMONSTER due to the age of the members, mentioning that he sees them as “daughters”, something that did not happen with other groups, as the members were older, considered only junior artists.
Furthermore, he said that BABYMONSTER will make their first comeback on February 1st. The return will be made with the release of the track called “Stuck In The Middle”, which, unlike “Batter Up”, will not have hip-hop as a rhythm, as the promise is that the new work will bring something innovative.
About Ahyeon, the CEO explained that there is still no set date to tell fans when the artist will join the lineup. Therefore, it is necessary for the fanbase to wait until the moment is established by the company, as Yang Hyun Suk revealed that he will “inform them in due time”.
Finally, Yang Hyun Suk said that BABYMONSTER’s first album should be released in April this year.
