Remember some of the groups that debuted in 2023 and have already become some of our favorites
2023 is already coming to an end, being marked as a year full of remarkable events for k-pop fans. In addition to remarkable comebacks from the groups and soloists we already love, this year also saw the debut of many artists who arrived to make their names in the industry.
With that in mind, RECREIO has put together an incredible list of 5 great k-pop debuts of 2023. Check it out!
1. BABYMONSTER
Seven years after BLACKPINK’s debut, YG Entertainment finally launched its newest girl group: BABYMONSTER. The formation is made up of seven members: Ahyeon, Ramie, Pharita, Chiquita, Wing, Ruka It is Rora.
His official debut took place on November 27th, with the single “BATTER UP”, which broke the record for the fastest debut music video to reach the 100 million views mark (just 18 days). Ahyeonhowever, did not participate in the debut due to health reasons, and should only join the lineup for the first comeback.
2. RIIZE
Composed of seven members, Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Seunghan, Sohee It is Anton, RIIZE was the first boy group released by SM Entertainment since NCT’s debut. His long-awaited debut took place on September 4th, with the single album “Get A Guitar”.
The album made RIIZE the first K-pop group to sell more than a million copies in its first week alone. His first comeback took place in October, with the single “Talk Saxy”.
3. KISS OF LIFE
Created by S2 Entertainment, KISS OF LIFE is made up of four members: Julie Han, Belle, Haneul It is Natty, who had already debuted as a soloist. Their debut took place on July 5th, with the first mini-album “KISS OF LIFE” which, in addition to the title track “Shhh”, also features a solo track from each member.
KISS OF LIFE’s first comeback took place in November, with the album “Born to be XX”, consisting of seven songs: “Bad News”, “Nobody Knows”, “My 808”, “TTG”, “Gentleman”, “ Says It” and “Bad News” (ENG Ver.).
4. ZEROBASEONE
ZEROBASEONE, or simply ZB1, was formed through the survival program “Boys Planet”, on South Korean broadcaster Mnet, and is made up of nine members: Sung Han Bin, Kim Ji Woong, Zhang Hao, SeokMatthew, Kim TaeRae, Ricky, Kim Gyu Vin, Park Gun WookIt is Han Yujin.
Their debut took place on July 10th, with the mini-album “YOUTH IN THE SHADE”, accompanied by a MV for the title track “In Bloom”.
5. Loossemble
Loossemble (short for the name LOONA Assemble), is made up of the five members of LOONA who signed with the company CTDENM after the end of their contracts with Blockberry Creative. Are they: Hyunjin, I lived, Gowon, Hyeju It is Yeojin.
His debut took place on September 15th, through the mini-album “Loossemble”, accompanied by the title track “Sensitive”.
