On the night of last Wednesday, 20th, during a press conference held by Galaxy Corporation, the new company responsible for the solo career of G-Dragona member of BIGBANG, the idol shared an emotional handwritten letter, where he talks about his future activities, in addition to commenting on the recent accusation of drug abuse, in which he was cleared.

“This is Kwon Ji Yong [nome verdadeiro de G-Dragon].
I wanted to personally greet everyone and discuss this time, so I’m very sad that I wasn’t able to do so.
I thought a lot about what stories to share and how to greet everyone as we face the new year. As you all know, I went through difficult times, but the people around me expressed their concern and gave me a lot of encouragement, so I managed to overcome [estas dificuldades] good. Thank you all.
As this incident passed, I saw a place I hadn’t seen until now. While watching the news, I became aware of the fact that every year there are an average of 20,000 users of illegal drugs and that the number of teenage drug offenders has increased dramatically. I also learned the painful truth that of these 20,000 people, not even 500 people per year can receive treatment through these treatment facilities.
That’s why I thought I should act. For the sake of those who are exposed and defenseless, and for the people who don’t know they are heading down the wrong path, I plan to actively work to eradicate [o problema] and eradicate drugs. I want to share the opportunity with many people who have not had the opportunity for treatment. Furthermore, I want to act as a system to protect those who do not have strength on their side as someone’s older brother, younger brother, or colleague, so that the unfair events that weak people experience will not be repeated.
I decided to create a basis to take on this activity sincerely and continuously.
The foundation will stand alongside those who have been harmed and hurt by the prejudice and injustice of our world, and we hope to create a society where everyone lives together while being treated equally and respected fairly.
Through musical and artistic activities that artist Kwon Ji Yong and fans enjoy, we will solve social issues such as drug eradication, inequality and injustice, and while we provide opportunities by supporting artists who have not had the opportunity, I plan to train future generations who will do the same work as me.
If the foundation germinates the seed for these activities, we can undertake campaigns for peace and impartial campaigns for the earth with many great artists and fans who sympathize with the meaningful activity, and I think we can create a dream of a world without prejudice that is in harmony with Diversity.
This is how Kown Ji Yong plans to start 2024. I will take on all my responsibilities and return, and I will take on responsibilities as an artist and I will also take on social responsibilities. I hope that everyone also assumes their respective responsibilities in their roles.

Shortly after reading the letter, the director Jo Sung Hae declared that Galaxy Corporation is taking action to address all malicious comments about the singer that have had repercussions in recent times, where the authors will have a period of a few days to delete the publications. He said: “From this day until midnight on December 28, we plan to give a one-week deadline. Please delete all posts that defame the reputation of Kwon Ji Yongsuch as malicious comments and false information on the internet”. After the stipulated date, strong legal action will be taken.
