The Odessa International Film Festival will be held July 12-20, 2024 in Kyiv. The decision to change the place was made because of the gentrification of the city.
The Odessa International Film Festival will be held in Kyiv on July 12-20, 2024. Last time the event took place in Chernivtsi for security reasons. This was reported on the Facebook page of the film festival.
“The last OIFF was warmly received by Chernivtsi, who showed a sincere passion for Ukrainian culture and art. Next year we will bring the Odessa International Film Festival to Kiev, where we expect equally warm reception from film fans and connoisseurs of high-quality spectator art films,” said OIFF general director Anna Machukh.
It is mentioned that you can submit your film for participation in the 15th OIFF today. To do this, simply fill out the online form posted on the film festival’s official website and provide all the materials specified in the online form before May 1, 2024.
Feature, non-fiction, animated and experimental full-length films of all genres, the production of which will be completed in 2023 or 2024, are invited to participate in the National Competition Program.
The winners of the National Competition will be determined in the categories “Best Ukrainian Full-Length Fiction Film” and “Best Ukrainian Full-Length Documentary Film”.
It was previously reported that the premiere of the documentary film Bartk by Ukrainian director Vladimir Bakum will take place in Germany at the international film festival FilmFestival Cottbus.
