Alyosha Schneider and Virginie Efira in the series “Everything is fine”. Disney+
The new French Disney+ series, available from November 14, brings together a 5-star cast and masterfully combines humor, drama and tenderness.
Interesting story
How does an ordinary family cope with the joys and sorrows of existence? the creator of Everything is fine, Camille de Castelnau, was inspired by her own personal experience to tell the story of the Wassers, a tribe like any other that faces the events of life. At the forefront is a gorgeous duo of sisters: reserved Marion (Sarah Giraudeau) and pragmatic Claire (Virginie Efira). Together, they must manage the sometimes invasive nature of their mother, Anna (Nicole Garcia), a bestselling author of positive thinking who keeps repeating that “everything is fine“. Their brother Vincent (Aliocha Schneider), a flight attendant dedicated to his work, escapes reality by multiplying long flights and one-night stands. As for the father, Pascal (Bernard Le Coq), he is as confused by events as he is by his emotions, which he struggles to control. In line Everything is finewe love each other, we annoy each other, we argue… it’s better to hold each other’s hands when we have to face a difficult moment.
Top notch casting
choral series, Everything is fine offers a golden score to this ensemble of virtuoso actors. Virginie Efira and Sarah Giraudeau as the brave sisters, Nicole Garcia and Bernard Le Coq as the baby boomer couple who get on each other’s nerves, Alyocha Schneider as the youngest who is more sensitive than he seems. Not forgetting Mehdi Nebbu, the actor seen in the series HPI:, here wearing an irresistibly charming clown costume. Excellence is also required in manufacturing. Camille de Castelnau confided in her former mentor Eric Roshant (Office of Legends), taking care of the staging of the first two episodes.

A family just like us
Between extraordinary scenes and iconic lines, Everything is fine is a human comedy, which outlines the failures of its contemporaries with tenderness and humor. Everyone can recognize themselves in the happy mess of this dysfunctional family, just like ours. Filled with moments of emotion and bright colors, the series gracefully tells the story of the complicity between siblings, the disappointments of couples or even the tension between parents and children. We identify with these whimsical yet so lovable characters. Caught in the whirlwind of life, they move us, make us laugh and want to call the ones we love at the end of the episode.
