November 19 was Monegasque National Day. A chance for the entire royal family to gather in the Palace’s Court of Honor before greeting the crowd gathered around Prince Albert II of Monaco and his wife Charlene.
On Thursday, November 19, Monegasques gathered under the royal balcony to applaud the royal family on this national holiday. A date that annually marks the reign of Prince Rainier, who died in 2005 and who would have celebrated his centenary in 2023. As such, Prince Albert II of Monaco was surrounded by all members of his extended family: Charlene, his wife, and their two children, Jacques and Gabriella, as well as all the Grimaldis.
In the court of honor they gathered for a big family photo, always very impressive. Princesses Stephanie and Caroline appeared side by side, accompanied by their children, Charlotte Casiraghi, dressed all in red, and her brothers Andrea and Pierre on their wives’ arms. But also Princess Alexandra of Hanover, Camille Gottlieb, Louis Ducroix and his wife Marie Chevalier, as well as his sister Pauline.

While Princess Charlene is not seen in the photo, she was there, decked out for the occasion in a bright red coat, the color of the Monegasque flag, which she paired with boots and a matching beret. Her daughter, aged 8 and a half, wore the same outfit in a navy blue version and also wore a pair; newborns Louboutin heels that already make her look like a great lady. Later, Prince Albert II and his wife went to greet the crowd from the Prince’s Terrace, exchanging affectionate smiles.
Nephews at the windows
Near the windows were the monarch’s nephews, Raphael Elmaleh and Balthazar, Charlotte Casiraghi’s two sons. The first from her union with comedian Gad Elmaleh, the other from her relationship with her current partner Dimitri Rassam. With them, the daughter of Andrea Casiraghi and Tatiana Santo Domingo, India. The royal family, all generations combined, were able to attend military parades and other fan tributes on this big day.
