After three days of intensive therapy, the creator did not survive. “There are no words to describe the immense pain we feel at this dramatic moment. David joined us just a few days ago when a sudden illness ended his young life too soon. We still can’t believe what happened. Davide and I were working on an ambitious project full of enthusiasm and optimism for the future. Although he was with us for a short time, David was able to love and respect him immediately. Today, it is our responsibility to carry forward what his imagination and creativity only imagined. We send our condolences to Davide’s family and many friends,” said Massimo Ferretti, CEO of Aeffe SpA.
Born in 1977 in Folonica, near Grosseto, Davide Wren started designing womenswear in high school. He initially focused on the study of architecture before continuing at the Polimoda School in Florence. From there, a career in the world of fashion was born alongside her mentor, Neapolitan designer Alessandro Dell’Acqua, who led her to progress to women’s collections and then to the position of design director of his brand. In 2004, the designer joined the Gucci studio, where he supported Alessandro Michele and immediately became his right-hand man for almost twenty years. Their partnership ends in January 2023 after Michelle’s departure.
“Special Man”

He is a brilliant designer and a special person.”

I am deeply grateful to Massimo Ferretti for giving me the honor of taking the helm of a house founded by one of fashion’s most brilliant creative minds. I can’t wait to start this exciting chapter. we’re going to have fun together.”
