Taylor Swift’s album tops the Billboard 200

The album also beat Swift’s previous personal best of 1.57 million for Midnights.

Taylor Swift’s album 1989 (Taylor’s Version) topped the Billboard 200 chart with the highest weekly sales. Billboard reported it.

The record debuted with over 1.65 million copies sold, surpassing the previous record of the 1989 original sold in 2014, when it sold 1.287 million copies in one week.

The publication said it was officially the highest first-week sales for any album since 2015, when Adele’s 25 debuted with 3.482 million purchases.

It was previously reported that Taylor Swift once again set a record on the streaming platform Spotify.
