Jungkook achieved another historic feat on Spotify with his new song ‘Standing Next to You’
“Standing Next to You”, title track from his first solo album Jungkook, by BTS, reached first place this Tuesday, the 7th, on Spotify’s daily Global Top Songs chart, being the artist’s third single to achieve the feat. Before the new track, “Seven” (feat. Latto) and “3D” (feat. Jack Harlow), had also already reached the same position.
The feat became Jungkook the first K-pop act in history to manage to top the platform’s Global Top Songs chart with three different songs, surpassing a milestone achieved by his own group, BTS, and the girl group BLACKPINKas both reached number one with two songs each.
But does not stop there! Kookie also extended his own record as the longest-running K-pop artist to remain at the top of Spotify’s Top 50 — Global, totaling 73 days with all his solo releases.
On the other hand, the track “Seven” also achieved an impressive milestone on the platform recently. This is because the song became the fastest to surpass the impressive number of 1 billion streams, achieving the feat in just 108 days.
The record surpassed the feat of the American singer Miley Cyrus who, with “Flowers”, reached 1 billion streams on Spotify in exactly 112 days.
