Apple TV + has shown the premiere of Ray Liotta’s latest TV show with the trailer “Black Bird”, It will air on the 8th of July.
The six -episode true crime series stars Taron Egerton as Jimmy Keane, a high school football hero convicted of a felony and sentenced to 10 years in prison. However, once behind bars, Jimmy’s prosecutors have a strange choice: he can serve his sentence in full without the possibility of parole, or be transferred to a maximum-security prison to befriend the suspected serial killer, Larry Hall. Liota, who died last month at age 67, plays James “Big Jim” Keane, Jimmy’s ailing father and former police officer.
“I never wanted it for you,” the character said to his son in the first scene of the trailer. “I want a completely different life: a stable salary, children, family”.

“Black Bird” is based on Junior Kin Memories from 2010’s “With the Devil: A Fallen Hero, a Serial Killer, and a Dangerous Redemption Business.”
The series was developed and produced by author Dennis Lehan. The most popular films are “Mystical River” and “Gone, Little, Gone,” adapted into blockbuster films.
