The fifth and final season of ‘Stranger Things‘ you’ll need a little extra help from makeup on your recordings. This is because, according to a statement made by the producer Shawn Levy to Variety (via Omelete), due to the Hollywood actors’ strike, it will be necessary to use makeup techniques to rejuvenate the cast.
Levi states that, although it is not such a big problem, taking into account that, since the series debut, the actors have already changed a lot, the team is already prepared to not make the visuals so discrepant if necessary.
“We’ve already seen the cast of our show grow up in the public eye, and between the ages of 12 and 22, every human being changes profoundly. This passage of time is definitely not helping, but that being said, our hair, makeup and wardrobe is quite exceptional, using costumes, wigs and makeup to combat aging”, declared the producer.
Shawn “The 1980s are also our friends in returning these young adult actors to their iconic Hawkins characters. So let’s use every tool available. And I know our cast is just as eager to get back to work as they are. the rest of us”.
