Counting on a huge universe of stories, the films of MCU they also have feature films and series that are produced by other studios, such as the “Spider-Man” franchise, from Sony, or “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones”, from Netflix.
Although many people believe that these plots may not fit into Marvel’s giant multiverse, according to the preface by the producer and president of Marvel Kevin Feige in the book “Marvel Studios: The Marvel Cinematic Universe An Official Timeline”, these titles can, indeed, be part of the official chronology of the franchise.
“When it comes to the Multiverse, we recognize that there are films and series that are canonical to the MCU, but were made by different creators in different periods of Marvel history. The chronology presented in this book refers to the Sacred Timeline, but you never know when different timelines may collide or converge.”, wrote Feige.
Currently, Marvel is in Phase 5 of its Cinematic Universe. Among its upcoming releases are the new episodes of the second season of “Loki”, in addition to the premiere of the film “The Marvels”, scheduled to take place on November 9th.
The official synopsis for “The Marvels” reads: “In The Marvels, Carol Denvers, aka Captain Marvel, has regained her identity from the tyrannical Kree and exacted revenge on the Supreme Intelligence, but unimagined consequences leave Carol carrying the burden of a universe destabilized. When her duties send her into an anomalous wormhole connected to a Kree revolutionary, her powers become entwined with those of her Jersey City superfan Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, and her estranged niece, and now SABER astronaut, Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, they form an unlikely trio who must come together and learn to work as a team to save the Universe.”
