The film was directed by Yuri Dvizhon, who showed a broken world where heterosexual couples are forbidden to marry.
The couple Vladimir Dantes and Dasha Kasurina star in the film Marriage (In)Equality, which aims to draw attention to equal rights for the LGBT community.
Specifically, they play a couple in love who are forbidden to marry in Kyiv’s central registry office due to the fact that they are a heterosexual couple.
It should be noted that the film consists of two parts. The first presents a distorted reality – homosexual couples are allowed to marry and adopt children, while heterosexual couples are allowed to do the opposite.
In the second part, representatives of the LGBT community tell their true stories of their lives – about love and loss, about feelings and fears.
“This film is a manifesto and an appeal to society with the desire to explain what hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians feel when they understand that they do not have the right to officially marry their loved ones,” says the film’s description .
It was previously reported that Olya Polyakova, who took part in the LGBT march in London, responded to criticism from fans.
