The authors of the plots of the fiction series were inspired by the stories of the townspeople who stayed in Kyiv in February-March last year.
The Netflix streaming service will start a Ukrainian series for the first time, which will tell about the beginning of a full-scale war on the territory of our country.
In particular, a project called Early days (Those Who Stayed) will feature six stories from six directors, each based on real-life events:
-
Olga, who, along with her children, was forced to live in the same house with two men – the current and the former;
-
Maxim, who was found by the war at work in the zoo, from which he could not leave;
-
A homeless man living in a car helps local TRO;
-
Young Yegor, who calmed down by shooting rockets in his imagination like angry birds;
-
The German Klaus, who went to Kyiv to get the girl, but found himself among the volunteers and joined their work;
-
Legends of Ukrainian pop music, the prototype of which is Andrey Danilko. He streams from his apartment in the capital – and has inspired millions.
“Ukraine is in the center of world attention today, and foreign audiences are interested in knowing what is happening with us, not only from the news, but on a deeper level. This is the format of the series of fiction that allows us to feel our pain and hope more deeply – and relate ourselves to ordinary Ukrainians,” – shared Anna Eliseeva, producer of the project.
The premiere will take place on November 1, 2023.
It was previously reported that the third season of the cult series show in the morning discussed the crimes of the Mariupol occupiers.
