Screenwriter Bisha K. Ali reveals the details that caused the God of Mischief to change details of “Ms. Marvel”
In an interview given to CBR in 2022, Bisha K. Ali, the head writer of ‘Ms. Marvel’, revealed that another character belonging to the Marvel Cinematic Universe directly interfered in Kamala Khan’s story: Loki, the God of Mischief.
The screenwriter said that the series named after the character, released in mid-2021, directly on Disney+, not only changed how time is approached in the MCU, but also in the new heroine’s plot:
We had the [regras] of Avengers: Endgame that you can’t go back to in an inconsequential way… However, between Endgame and Ms. Marvel, another show came along called Loki, which was very enlightening as to how time works,” he joked.
Soon after, she detailed how Loki’s time travel caused changes to the events seen in ‘Ms. Marvel’. “And I would say that [a viagem no tempo em Ms. Marvel] it wouldn’t have caused a Nexus event because of the inevitability of that. So it was a closed cycle,” he said.
To me, it made perfect sense, and it fit the logic of what was established in the Time Variance Authority, which seemed to be the final decision on time, I think.”
It is worth remembering that ‘Loki’, a series that follows the character in new challenges after the events of “Avengers: Endgame”, a film released in 2019, received the first episode of the second season last Thursday, 5th, on Disney+.
