The first episode of the second season of “Loki” is now available on Disney+
Last Thursday, 5th, the first episode of the second season of ‘Loki’ arrived in the Disney+ catalog bringing answers about the events that previously took place regarding the Time Variance Authority (AVT), as well as the presentation of a new and important face for the story: Ouroboros, a character played by Ke Huy Quan.
Amid the temporal madness that the episode presents, there is still a pleasant surprise for fans of the plot starring the God of Mischief: there is a post-credits scene!
[SPOILERS DE LOKI A SEGUIR]
The moment in question follows Sylvie (Sofia Di Martino) after killing He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors) in the final episode of the series’ debut season. She passes through a temporal door causing a new branch in the AVT when traveling to the small town of Broxton, in the United States, in 1982.
There, she enters a McDonald’s, and while deciding what her order will be, she observes the happiness of the local residents as her impatient behavior disappears, giving way to a hopeful expression followed by the phrase: “I’ll have everything”, which can indicate that she will settle in the city and build a new life away from her old mistakes.
In addition to showing where Sylvie ended up, the scene also contains a reference to the comics. As explained by the Omelete portal, in the Marvel comics, Broxton is also known as “Little Asgard”, since this is the city transformed by Thor into a new Asgard, after he acquired the place in exchange for an Asgardian treasure. He even lifts the place to float slightly above the surface, just like the city in which he was born.
It is also worth mentioning that, in the pages, Broxton ends up becoming an uninhabitable place after interventions that affected the city carried out by the evil energy corporation that controlled the place: Roxxon, resulting in a final trafficking, as there is nothing left of Broxton, which was completely destroyed.
Curiosity: In the first season of “Loki” there is a reference to Roxxon, which appears in the second episode, titled “The Variant”. The allusion is placed in the form of the Roxxcart supermarket, where Loki (Tom Hiddleston) meets Sylvie.
