In an exclusive conversation, Emilly Puppim, the new member of Detetives do Prédio Azul, DPA, spoke about the series, the stages and the future
This year, in its 18th season, the Blue Building Detectives gained a new member, Mel. The character, played by the actress Emily Puppimaged 11, is the successor to the red cape, which until then belonged to Flor, whose interpreter was Nathalia Costa.
Mel was adopted by Severino (Ronaldo Reis) and Sissi (Carol Future), after losing his circus parents in a car accident. The only inheritance she received was a pet pen called Pitomba, which under the owner’s command, she writes alone.
In addition to the new episodes, DPA will debut its new version in theaters on October 12th. The play entitled “DPA A Peça 2 – Um Mistério em Magowood” will run for a short season, until November 19, at Teatro Multiplan, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Afterwards, production will move to Curitiba, Porto Alegre and Florianópolis.

The Red Cape
The actress, who made her debut in 2022, in the series “Sob Pressão” on TV Globo, revealed to Recreio how she felt when taking on the red cover of the DPA. She said:
It was such a great and special emotion, because representing Detective Mel in the red cape is an honor for me, I’m very happy.”
Emily She also commented that the main similarity between her and Mel is that they are both extroverted, who love making friends and like circus things. In fact, the actress, who always knew she wanted to pursue acting, revealed that she has loved the world of the circus since she was little and that playing Mel, a circus girl, “is very rewarding and fun”.
The actress also spoke about the differences between playing the character in front of the camera and on stage:
On camera we don’t need to do a lot of interpretation and when we make a mistake we can redo the scene. Now on stage we have to do a bigger interpretation and when we make mistakes we improvise and can interact with the audience.”
The future
During the conversation, Emily revealed what fans can expect from Mel for DPA’s next adventures and also left a message:
Incredible new investigations, because Mel is a very fearless, observant, affectionate, charismatic and fun girl. She never gives up on a mission, you can’t miss the next adventures with Mel, it’s going to be AWESOME!”
As for your career plans, Emily He said he wants to continue acting. She, who is a fan of Ariana Grande, Bruna Marquezine, Gabriella Saraivah It is Letícia Baraga, intends to follow the same paths as the artists. Furthermore, she said that she would also like to direct a play or even be a theater teacher.
