The tennis champion, who just gave birth to her second child, revealed in a video her baby’s room, luxuriously decorated.
A real princess’s bedroom. Serena Williams raised the curtain of the luxurious bedroom, which was prepared for the arrival of her second daughter, Adira. The tennis star did post a video of her newly decorated room on her YouTube channel this Saturday, August 26, which was filmed before her birth.
In a Gucci maternity dress, Serena Williams briefly shows off her fans in an empty room. “It was actually the bedroom [ma fille aînée] Olympia,” explains the 41-year-old mother. “There was a blue carpet that was like a playroom for him. So there is a lot of work to be done here.”
A quick montage then shows the stylistic evolution of the room, this one turning pale gray with rich red accents, and includes a dresser and a crib with a gold crown. Matching curtains hang below it, giving the appearance of a canopy above the bed. In the corner of the room stands a giraffe with a brown bow around its neck, nodding to balloons hanging from the ceiling. Designed by Dutch firm By Selina, the room’s design features an elegant vine-like floral print that drips down one corner of the wall. The video has so far collected about 260,000 views.
Adira is the second daughter of Serena Williams, she was born at the end of August, her name comes from a Hebrew word that can be translated as “noble”, “powerful” and “magnificent”. She and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, have been the happy parents of Olympia since September 2017, born two months before their wedding.
