In honor of International Dog Day this Saturday, August 26, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a humorous video that was quite a departure from their usual posts.
When it comes to posting on social media, Prince William and his girlfriend Kate Middleton are used to being quite solemn, posting tributes or photos of their charity work. This Saturday, August 26, followers of the @princeandprincessofwales account were pleasantly surprised to discover that the royal couple also knew how to be creative and humorous. As part of International Dog Day, the duo released a rather quirky photo montage in honor of our four-legged friends.
In the video, the adorable video of a little boy asking Prince William… where is the prince?

#DogsOnRoyalVisits
In the background of the leading title of the 2000s, “Who Let the Dogs Out?” Baha of Men said the video shows a recap of all the times Prince William and Kate Middleton have encountered dogs during their royal engagement this year. “Does the hashtag #DogsOnRoyalVisits exist?” they sarcastically wonder in the caption. Before adding: “In honor of #internationaldogday, here are a few we’ve welcomed along the way this year.”
A family passion
An interest in the world of dogs is a passion passed down from generation to generation in the royal family. We remember Queen Elizabeth II’s adorable Welsh corgis. Prince William and Kate Middleton have also had furry companions. Their family adopted a black spaniel named Lupo, who died in November 2020. And after this death, another dog joined their clan. This is a black cocker spaniel named Orla.
