The leader of the Vopli Vidoplyasova group, Oleg Skripka, said that since 2014 he has distanced himself from Russian musicians.
“We have automatically kept our distance since 2014, they are all Ukrainians. Good, bad (Russians), you think for yourself, we have to do it ourselves,” Skrypka said on Pryam Chervona’s YouTube channel.
At the same time, Skrypka got into a scandal the day before, performing in Montenegro at a festival with Russian musicians. Skrypka’s team called such statements informational provocations.
The violinist did not hide the fact that in the 90s of the 20th century he toured Russia a lot.
“In the 90s, the Russians treated the Ukrainians with respect. Yes, the younger, stupid brother, but they loved, they really loved. Their love was preserved, but there is no such sadistic love now, now,” said the musician.
Skripka also said why it is difficult to refuse corporate events in Russia.
“Moscow calls, you sit tired, and tomorrow you have to leave. I tell the manager to name any amount from the head, he calls, but they still agree, and you go,” Skrypka recalled.
It was previously reported that Oleg Skrypka believes that it is more difficult for Russians than for Ukrainians.
