The Sussexes are set to produce a Netflix adaptation of the novel Meet me by the lakerevealed SunSaturday, August 5. A book that tells the idyll of two thirty-somethings looking back on their past traumas.

In September 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did indeed reach an agreement with Netflix for a rumored $100 million (€91 million). And the pair are now set to produce a film for the platform, it has been revealed Sun , Saturday, August 5. After the documentary series Harry and Meghanwhich is dedicated to the history of Sussex, the duo would opt for a work of fiction this time.

The book also covers topics such as childhood trauma, including the death of a loved one in a car crash, as happened to Lady Diana, the Duke of Sussex’s mother, in 1997, and mental health issues, which Meghan has repeatedly mentioned. Markle, or drug use, a topic Prince Harry explored in his memoir The alternative. the plot of Meet me by the lake also takes place in Toronto, where the former actress lived for a long time before meeting the heir.
