Mattel Films has announced a series of movies about the most popular toys. Polly Pocket may be next in line.
Barbie director Greta Gerwig said if fans should wait for the continuation of the story about the most famous toy in the world. The New York Times reported it.
According to him, now he has said everything and there are no plans to shoot the second part of the fantasy-comedy film based on the eponymous toy from Mattel.
“That’s all I have right now. At the end of every movie, I feel like I can’t have any other ideas, and I’ve done everything I want to do. I don’t want to ruin anyone’s dreams, but so far I have no ideas ,” Greta admitted.
In addition, according to Variety, Mattel’s management intends to move many of the toy worlds to big screens.
In particular, we are talking about Pocket Polly, who was called to play the star of the Emily in Paris series, Lily Collins.
Mattel Films head Robbie Brenner has confirmed that the script was written by Lena Danem, who will also serve as director.
There are no plot details yet, but according to company CEO Inon Kreiz, Warner Bros. they have started to build a new story.
Earlier it was reported that the film Barbie directed by Greta Gerwig marked the best result at the Ukrainian box office.
