‘LEGO Disney Princess: Castle Adventure’ premieres exclusively on Disney+ on August 18
This Monday, the 8th, Disney unveiled a brand new trailer for its upcoming series, “LEGO Disney Princess: Castle Adventure”, which premieres on August 18th, exclusively on Disney+. Watch!
The plot promises to follow Rapunzel, Moana, Ariel, Tiana and Snow White on an adventure to stop the plans of a villain well known to the public.
During the video, it was also possible to notice numerous references to the Disney Princesses franchise, even if not all characters appear — and RECREIO will present you some of them now. Check out!
1. Gaston as Villain
Right at the beginning of the trailer, it is already possible to notice that Gaston will be the great villain of the new production. In addition to having trapped King Triton, Ariel’s father, in an aquarium, the character of “Beauty and the Beast”, who appears much more evil than in his original production, seems to have new plans for the universe of fairy tales .
2. Princesses from abroad

The Disney Princess franchise currently has 13 characters: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Moana and Raya. However, “LEGO Disney Princess: Castle Adventure” will only have five princesses as protagonists: Rapunzel, Moana, Ariel, Tiana and Snow White. Where are the others?
3. Fairy Godmother’s Wand

Being an ordinary person, Gaston has no powers. Thus, to carry out his plans, the villain seems to have stolen the powerful wand of the Fairy Godmother, from Cinderella.
4. Rose from ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and the Magic Mirror from ‘Snow White’

Despite not containing all the princesses, the trailer features several easter eggs about the famous characters. During Gaston’s speech, we can see right behind him the famous rose from ‘Beauty and the Beast’, in addition to the magic mirror of the Evil Queen from “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
5. Maleficent as Dragon

Finally, we can also see the presence of another great villain in Disney princess stories: Maleficent. The antagonist of ‘Sleeping Beauty’ can be seen in her dragon form alongside Gaston, right at the end of the trailer.
