In 2019, Barbie’s dream house got a real version; remember!

The real-life “Dreamhouse” is available for rent in celebration of Barbie’s 60th birthday

For years, Barbie’s house, known to fans as the “Dreamhouse”, has topped the list of most desired toys for children around the world. The residence is known for being an extremely luxurious mansion, entirely made in the doll’s favorite color: pink. But, have you ever imagined what it would be like to spend a night at “Casa dos Sonhos”?

In 2019, this was actually possible! To celebrate the 60th birthday of the most famous doll in the world, Airbnb announced that a house inspired by the model Barbie Malibu Dreamhouse would be available for rent for two nights in the city of Malibu, in the United States, for groups of four guests, for just 60 dollars (just over 290 reais at current quotation).

As with the toys, the mansion was entirely decorated with details in pink and white, in addition to being equipped with everything you are entitled to, including a pool with a slide and an infinity edge with a direct view of the California coast; a private cinema; area for sports and meditation; terrace for outdoor dining; and a kitchen with a pantry filled with goodies.

But does not stop there! The house was also outfitted with numerous references to Barbie’s 60th birthday. In the closet, for example, guests had the opportunity to personally check out some of the doll’s most iconic looks, in addition to her classic work uniforms from the different professions she had.

To close the experience with a golden key, Aribnb also celebrated the opportunity by making a donation to The Barbie Dream Gap Project, an initiative created by Mattel, the company that created the famous doll, responsible for helping young girls to fulfill their dreams.

Today, the house is no longer available for rent, but the experience of spending a few days in the world’s most popular doll’s house must have been unforgettable.
