This is a common story about women who chose to bet on their family life, sacrificing their careers on the altar of motherhood. “After the birth of my first child, I spent so much time with my employer that I never saw my child again. So I quickly decided to stop working, a choice encouraged by my husband, relieved that I was staying at home,” recalls Natalie *, now 54 and a mother of two boys in the Paris area. “I actually stuck to his system, it all revolved around his work and his generous labor board. Obviously, I wasn’t planning on breaking up with him. I didn’t think about my pension for a moment, I said to myself, “We’ll see later,” he squeals.
One life housewife from the most pleasant, which, however, becomes bitter. After moments of happiness, the children have grown up, it may happen that couples break up. The emotional upheaval is often accompanied by uncertainty for these former stay-at-home moms…
