Issa Rae, the actress who will give life to Barbie Presidente in the live-action Barbie, revealed that she has already watched the film and talked about how she felt
One of the most anticipated films of the year is undoubtedly the live-action Barbie. The production of Warner Bros. arrives on July 20 in Brazilian theaters, but the film’s cast has already been able to check out the result.
The actress Issa Rae, who will bring President Barbie to life, responded during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he had already watched the complete film and that he was “speechless” with the production about the most famous doll in the world. He revealed:

The actress also spoke about Greta Gerwingwho is the director of the feature and who also signed the script alongside Noah Baumbach. Rae said:
She collaborates with people whose opinions she values and wants to make sure everyone is listening. She’s great at channeling those thoughts through her own vision and growing and elevating them. She does it so well.”
Finally, the actress revealed how gerwing acted on suggestions about the characters’ manners:
There were definitely parts of the costume and the way [Barbie Presidente] behaved that she was respectful to me, and I saw her to be so with Kingsley Ben-Adir. Everyone had versions of what they wanted their Barbies and Kens to look like, and I saw her take ideas and make them her own in the best way possible.”
