Who’s who in the live-action ‘One Piece’?

Find out more about the actors responsible for bringing the characters of ‘One Piece’ to life in Netflix’s live-action series

During the live of Netflix’s Tudum, which took place last Saturday, the 17th, the first teaser of the live-action series of “One Piece” was released. The production is based on the manga created by Eiichiro Oda, which was published in 1997. The story has also won its animated version, which is still produced today and has more than 900 episodes. Inãki Godoy – Monkey D. Luffy

The 19 year old actorInaki Godoy was chosen to live the great protagonist of “One Piece” Monkey D. Luffy. The star was born on the 25th of August 2003 in Mexico City, Mexico. He has worked in other productions such as “Imperfects” (2022) and “MexZombies” (2022).

Mackenyu – Roronoa Zoro

One of the main talents of Japanese cinema, actor mackenyu will be responsible for giving life to the pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro. He was born on November 16, 1996 in Tokyo, the Japanese capital. At age 26, the star has already made some films like “Samurai X: The Final” (2021) and in the live-action “Os Cavaleiros do Zodiac – Knights of the Zodiac: The Beginning” (2023).

Jacob Gibson – Usopp

One of the main marksmen of the group led by Luffy is Usopp. The character will be played by the actor Jacob Gibson aged 26. This will be the first major role for Jacob who was born on July 11, 1996 in Denver, Colorado, USA. He had already participated in the series “Greenleaf” (2016) and in the film “Under Water: Dive Deep”.

Emily Rudd – Nami

The actress Emily Rudd The 30-year-old, who participated in all the films in the Netflix trilogy “Street of Fear”, was chosen to play Nami, the pirate thief. She was born in Minnesota, USA, on February 24, 1993.

Taz Skylar-Sanji

The cook Sanji will be lived by the actor Taz Skylar. The 27-year-old actor participated in the films “Villain” (2020) and “The Lazarus Project” (2022). Taz was born in Spain on December 5, 1995.
