The quintessential event of the Cannes Film Festival, the Chopard Trophy celebrated its two new winners last night: Naomie Eckie and Daryl McCormack.
“This evening is not a formal evening, but a family dinner. It was with these words that Thierry Frémaux, chief delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, accompanied by his colleague Iris Knoblock, launched the new edition of the Chopard Trophy at Carlton Beach this Friday, May 19. Launched in 2001, the award annually honors female and male breakthroughs in cinema. Audrey Tautou, Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, Adele Exarchopoulos, Florence Pugh, Nils Schneider, Francois Civil, Jeremy Irwin… are among the winners of this important award. Through this event, Caroline Schefele, co-chairman and director and artistic director of the House of Chopard, who especially designed the trophy in the form of a gold-plated silver ribbon, confirms her support and love for cinema.
