Pete Davidson joked a bit about Weekend Update, making fun of Tucker Carlson and saying people were responding to his comments just to see what he had to say about Kanye West.
But he quickly turned his back on the incarcerated killer for being creepy sentimental about his latest episode of “Saturday Night Live.” She left the show on Saturday after the 47th season finale with Kate McKinnon, Eddie Bryant and Kyle Moon.
Davidson told co-host Colin Jost that he looks like “the only Kennedy who doesn’t drink.” She was irritated by what producer Lauren Michaels told her when Davidson called her in 2018 and said she was nominated two weeks after meeting Ariana Grande: “Oh! Wait for your precious life! “
Davidson also recalls that when he auditioned for Saturday Night Live in 2014 at the age of 20, Michaels said, “I think you’re not right about this show, so let’s destroy it.”
And “This is exactly what we did,” Davidson said. “And therefore, people who think they don’t deserve the job shouldn’t be hated, because we have a lot in common.”
“If nothing else,” he added, “I have to hope that literally anyone can be Saturday Night Live.” Seriously, you see a guy smoking a cigarette outside 7-Eleven at 2am.
He then became super emotional and thanked “SNL” for “always supporting me and allowing me to work and grow”.
And “Thanks to Lorraine for not leaving me and for not questioning me, even though she’s just like everyone else,” Davidson added. “And for believing in me and allowing me to have a place I can call home with memories that will last a lifetime. So thank you guys,”
