Responsible leather is no longer reserved for those who ride bikes. The jacket is now a must in the everyday wardrobe.
There are a thousand and one options: short, long, thick, too big customized, cropped, sporty… For two seasons now, the biker jacket has been making a big comeback in the wardrobe, with models appearing everywhere in numerous fashion shows. We find it in color, for example at Marni in blue and red, at Isabel Marant in shades of burgundy or at Diesel in metallic leather. Of course, there are also authentically styled models inspired by technical jackets from motorcycle manufacturers Yamaha, Helstons or Duhan, designed to protect motorcyclists. The trend is gradually spreading and even penetrating the wardrobes of celebrities, many of whom are embracing it. Bella Hadid, Rosalia, Hailey Bieber, Kylie Jenner, Katy Perry and even Jennifer Connelly have all been spotted wearing colorful biker jackets.
Is it difficult to wear every day? Not so sure. Driven by trend bikercore: which transformed the biker aesthetic into a style icon in 2022, the creators are multiplying the offerings so that this piece, originally designed for motorcycle rides, finds its place on everyday silhouettes. Everyone brings their own touch, their own creative universe… But, as you can see, in general, the emergence of this trend is manifested in two points: the proportions and the mix of styles. The contrast between the two pieces is obvious: a very short and veiled little evening dress and a leather jacket, raw and thick.

The epitome of the perfect blend of sportswear and femininity. Flimsy and body-hugging, the outfit is almost feline. Here artificial leather is softer, more obedient. Cut and fastened at navel height, the pockets are high and it gives the impression of following the wearer’s instinctive movements. It was as if she had slipped into this skin tight jumpsuit and it had taken shape. Proof that most biker jackets easily find a place in wardrobes, most often in the sexual register.
