The series makes use of CGI to transform the actress Tatiana Maslany into the heroine who has the same powers as the Hulk.
“She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” or “Hulk Woman: Defender of Heroes”, in the Brazilian translation, won last Tuesday, the 17th, its first official trailer that caused strangeness among MCU fans, not because it was released by surprise, but by the use of CGI, that is, images created by computer.
In the series, this resource is used to make Tatiana Maslany, the role of Jennifer Walters, transforms into the giant emerald heroine. However, as in other productions, such as in the final battle of “Black Panther””, the use has not been improved and the resource ends up bringing an artificial appearance, similar to video game dolls.
Often, the cause of this problem — which is also present to a lesser extent in “Moon Knight” and even in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” — is budget. This type of work requires a high financial investment, being normally used only for works that go to the cinema, as the value can return at the box office.
In addition, the visual effects industry has not been at its best for some time, as confirmed by Inverse’s recent report, which states that “the market has been in trouble for a long time,” as there are high demands, short production and a lot of money to be spent.
However, there is still time for change. The preview was released three months before the series premiere, so Marvel will be able to make some touches on the CGI, so that the final result of the Hulk’s cousin is more similar to reality.
“She-Hulk: Defender of Heroes” will feature 10 episodes in the first season that is expected to premiere on August 17 on the Disney+ streaming platform. The plot should address how Jennifer Walters, a lawyer specializing in legal cases around superhumans, acquires the powers of the Hulk. Check out the trailer!
