Everyone’s favorite spa manager with big dreams returns to the small screen.
Natasha Rothwell, who played Belinda Lindsey in the first season of HBO’s hit series “The White Lotus,” will return for the show’s third season, Variety reported Wednesday.
Details about Rothwell’s role in the new season have yet to be announced, the publication reported.
Rothwell celebrated his imminent return to the show on Twitter, written: “Belinda is little again!!!”
In Season 1, Belinda had ambitions to quit her spa job at the White Lotus Resort in Hawaii to open her own studio. Throughout the season, she became increasingly optimistic that wealthy houseguest Tanya McQuoid (Jennifer Coolidge) would invest in her new venture. (Season 2 spoilers coming!)
But Tanya turned out to be insecure and (funny) emotionally unstable and eventually broke his promise. Fans hoping to see more of Coolidge’s antics were obviously disappointed when his character died in the Season 2 finale.
Apparently, Coolidge was also disappointed, as she revealed in December that she tried to oust show creator Mike White.
“[White] said I would meet a tragic end and stuck to his guns,” the Emmy winner told Vulture that month.
Rothwell, who produced, wrote and starred in HBO’s “Insecure,” earned an Emmy nomination last year for her role in “The White Lotus” for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or movie.
On Wednesday, she shared more excitement about her upcoming role in the show’s third season, tweet that “his heart is full.”
“Words cannot even begin to express how thrilled, grateful and humbled I am to have the chance to bring Belinda to life again,” Rothwell wrote. “Thank you for the outpouring of love and support today. I’m overwhelmed, happy, and full of shit!
The third season of “The White Lot” is expected to take place in Thailand, according to a March report by Variety, which cited unidentified sources.
