The new original movie “Tico e Teco: Defenders of the Law” premiered today, 20, on Disney+; check out a list of other works by the classic characters that are on the platform

Tico and Teco: Defenders of the Law”, the new production that mixes live-action and CGI animation made exclusively for Disney +, is inspired by the adventures of the dynamic duo of squirrels, and had its official debut this Friday, 20, directly on the streaming platform.

Integrating the service catalog made available by Mickey Mouse exactly one year after the launch of the animated series “Tico e Teco: Vida no Parque”, the film features the original voices of John Mulaney, Andy Samberg, KiKi Layne, Will Arnett, Eric Bana, Dennis Haysbert, Keegan-Michael Key, Seth Rogen, JK Simmons and Chris Parnell.

The plot follows Tico and Teco, who are separated and with other focuses after their days of glory and fame are behind them. Living between cartoons and humans in present-day Los Angeles, the two partners decide to reunite after the disappearance of a former co-star. Now both must forget the problems of the past, resume their strained friendship and return to the role of Defenders of the Law to solve this mystery.

Launched in 1989, the animated series “Tico e Teco: Defensores da Lei” is responsible for giving rise to the new Disney+ production. In the plot that brought the duo fame and precedes the story of the new feature, Tico and Teco lead a group of characters like Geninha, Monterey Jack and Zipper who monitor and solve the mysteries of both the animal world and the human world.


Tico and Teco: Life in the Park (2021)

Created by Kathleen Shugrue and produced by Walt Disney Company France and Xilam Animation, the series in animated format premiered in 2021 and follows Tico and Teco living together in the forest in search of nuts, in addition to featuring appearances by other classic Disney characters, such as Pluto and Big Dog.

The latest animation has three seasons initially shown on Disney Junior. Following the adventures of the two friends through Hot Dog Hills, in the production, Tico and Teco are always surrounded by confusion and fun along with their friends Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.
