2023 International Booker Prize Shortlist Announced

The award winner will be named at a ceremony at the Sky Garden in London on Tuesday 23 May.

The Booker Prize International has announced a short list of contenders for the award. This is stated on the award’s official website.

There are six books in total:

  • Still Born (Still Born) – Guadalupe Nettel

  • Standing Heavy – GauZ’

  • Time Shelter – Georgi Gospodinov

  • The Gospel According to the New World – Maryse Condé

  • Whale (Kit) – Jeon Meng Kwan

  • Boulder (Boulder) – Eva Balthazar

It is worth noting that the novel of the Ukrainian writer Andrei Kurkov Jimi Hendrix’s Lviv Tour is not included in this list.

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers has awarded the Lesya Ukrainka Prize for literary and artistic works for children and youth for 2022.
