Jellyfish Entertainment, agency that takes care of the career of VIXX and its members, released this Tuesday, 11, a statement to inform that ravi, an idol who is accused of attempted military evasion, has officially left the lineup. Read below:
Hello, this is Jellyfish Entertainment.
We sincerely thank the fans who support VIXX and announce Ravi’s departure from the group.
After careful discussions between Ravi and the agency, it has been decided that he will leave the team as of today.
We deeply apologize for causing trouble to fans who support VIXX.
Right after, ravi published a letter with an apology. The text was released through the idol’s personal instagram and has the following translation:
Hello, this is Ravi.
First, I apologize to everyone who has been harmed and hurt by what I did wrong.
In the past, I was assigned to public service due to an illness I had and was postponing service for my activities when I got to the point where it was difficult for me to postpone my service any longer.
I was the only artist in the company making a profit, and implementation dates for contracts signed pre-COVID-19 were being delayed without certainty; therefore, with the burden of contract termination fees, I was desperate to delay my military service.
In desperation, I made a foolish decision, and when my concerns about the company and contractual issues were resolved, I voluntarily signed up for public service and had been in my service since last October.
I would like to sincerely apologize to the epilepsy patients and their families who must have been harmed by this wrong and self-righteous decision I made in this process, along with all those obligated to serve who are diligently doing their duty even at this time.
Also, I sincerely apologize to all the people who have been hurt by me and to the fans who have passionately supported my life beyond my existence as an artist for making you all experience the feeling that the time we spent together is being denied and falling apart.
I wanted to be someone you could be proud of, but I have no excuse for showing such a shameful side of myself.
Compared to everyone’s valuable feelings that were sincerely developed over a long period of time, I think I was very lacking.
Ultimately, I decided to leave VIXX so that no further harm would be done to the team members who were harmed through my fault. I am sincerely grateful to all the members who have been with me for a long period of 11 years and I feel sorry beyond words. I sincerely hope that there is no more damage done to the members’ valuable efforts because of me.
I think I’m a person who lacks a lot and still has a lot to learn.
I feel it is my responsibility to take all the criticism about this incident. The more you scold me, the more I regret and learn from it.
I know very well that my simple words of apology do not make my faults go away.
I will continue to learn and work hard to live as a better person, reflecting on this moment without forgetting it.
I sincerely apologize.
It is worth remembering that today, ravi and seven more individuals appeared in court for the trial of violation of the Military Service Law. At this first hearing, the prosecution asked for two years in prison for raviaccording to information published by Koreain.
ravi debuted as an idol in the Korean music industry in 2012 as a member of VIXX, a boy group formed by Jellyfish Entertainment that currently features N, Leo, Ken, Hongbin It is hyuk in its composition.
