On Thursday, April 6, the daughter of Jane Birkin and Jacques Doillon took to Instagram to share a few photos to celebrate her partner and father of their second child’s birthday.
Lou Doillon made a promise to himself to protect his family from prying eyes. If she remains very active on social networks, then the 40-year-old singer only directs her own image, music and sketches. It’s therefore very rare for her family to feature in stories, from her first son Marlowe (from a previous union with musician Thomas-John Mitchell and aged 20) to her second son Laszlo, born on July 26. 2022 with his new partner, illustrator Stefan Manel.

The latter never appears in Lou Doillon’s accounts either. However, on the occasion of the 52nd birthday, the daughter of Jane Birkin and Jacques Doillon made an exception. This Thursday, April 6, the artist posted some photos from their candlelight birthday party on his Instagram account. For the first time in history, we see a glass raised in the room of the Club Twenty Two, which overlooks the Place Palais-Royal in the 1st arrondissement of Paris.

Bodies in motion
Lou Doillon rediscovers motherhood with illustrator Stefan Manel, 20 years after the birth of her first child. On her networks, the 40-year-old artist did not hesitate to document this new pregnancy with photos of her bare stomach and changing body. After Laszlo gave birth last July, she continued to share her postpartum evolutions with her nearly 430,000 subscribers.
In a previous post, she also confided about her miscarriage a year before Laszlo was born. “On Mother’s Day last year, I went back to bed suffering from a miscarriage, and at 39 I’m pregnant again. Being a woman, having a woman’s body is an adventure. It’s pain, it’s joy, it’s mine. That’s my choice. My body, my choice,” he wrote.
