So let’s see. [A Criança Amaldiçoada] it worked like a play. Sometimes things that work like plays don’t necessarily work like movies. Sometimes things that work like books don’t work in theater, so I don’t… erh… never say never”
Remember that the current CEO of Warner Bros. discovery, David Zaslav, has already shown interest in investing in major studio franchises and Harry Potter would be one of them. According to Puck, the Zaslav confirmed that there are investors interested in adapting “Harry Potter: The Cursed Child”, but that authorization is needed fromJ.K. Rowling.
And it wouldn’t be the first time Warner Bros. tried to adapt the work. The former head of the studio, Toby Emmerichhad her idea of dividing the story into two feature films barred by the author.
“Harry Potter: The Cursed Child” became a stage play both in London and on Broadway. The story shows the wizard universe years after the events of “The Deathly Hallows” and has as protagonists Harry’s children, Ron, Hermione and Draco. Although they are no longer the focus of the story, the classic characters are present in the new adventure.
