1. Abby Boo?
Abby Boo, a passionate, hilarious and aggressive girl, is Mei’s best friend, and according to fans of the production of disneyit is theorized that some traits of Abby’s appearance, such as the shape of her face and bangs, or even the tone of her clothing, resemble Boo, a character from ‘Monstros Inc’, also from Disney.
2. Ming and the Rules
Knowing that her daughter was going to turn into a red panda, Ming, overprotective and vigilant with Mei, did not want the girl to publicly turn into a panda.
From this, fans of the production theorized that Mei’s mother exaggerated how difficult it would be to keep her daughter safe. Still, fans believe that Ming lied to Mei trying to keep the panda out of their lives.
3. Clothes and colors
When Mei underwent the transformation, some distant family members of the girl traveled to see her. Thus, fans theorize that the colors the characters wear during this period was some sign. This is because Mei wore red in most scenes, while her family members wore green, which, on the color wheel, are opposite tones, thus making a comparison of the opposition that the girl and her family members may have.
4. Priya and her coldness
During production, Priya, Abby, Miriam and Mei all had great moments in their friendship. However, seeing Mei transformed into a panda, Priya wasn’t surprised at all.
