TikTok parenting star Jehane Thomas, whose videos of life with her young children won her a devoted following, has died aged 30.
Thomas had been plagued by migraines and “attacks of sickness” recently, but his death on March 17 “was totally unexpected and we are all absolutely devastated,” a friend wrote on her GoFundMe page.
“His two sons, Isaac (3, almost 4) and Elijah (1), were left without their mother,” wrote Alyx Reast.
Thomas, from Doncaster, England, said she was diagnosed with optic neuritis, where swelling damages the optic nerve, months ago.
Her recent TikTok videos have documented being in and out of the hospital for migraines and other ailments and her frustration at not getting better. In his last TikTok on March 15, he wrote about an impending surgery while lying almost motionless in a hospital bed.
“I can’t lift my head without wanting to be sick and I can’t walk. I have to be on wheels everywhere. That’s what this pain is.” She later expressed regret that her children had “grown up” while she was away.
In her latest clip with the boys on March 13, Thomas playfully spread gel in Isaac’s hair while holding Elijah while Ella Eyre’s “Together” played in the background.
Thomas’ lunch-packing videos and cooking tips for kids branched out into balancing parenting with his budding printing business.
Yorkshire Live in the UK featured several tributes from friends and viewers.
