After a performance in Turin, Italy, the musicians demanded immediate assistance from the defenders of Mariupol, who were blocked in Azovstal.
The Kalush Orchestra, which will represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022, after performing in the final competition, turned to the European community with a request to rescue the defenders of Mariupol.
Thus, the band’s frontman Oleg Psyuk called for immediate assistance to the Ukrainian military in Azovstal.
“Save Mariupol, save Azovstal now,” he said.
The fighters of the Azov Battalion expressed their gratitude to the Kalush Orchestra for their support.
“Thank you to the Kalush Orchestra for their support! Glory to Ukraine!” Wrote the soldiers.
As you know, today hundreds of wounded Ukrainian soldiers remain on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol. The other day, Turkish authorities offered to send a ship to evacuate them, but Russia refused.
