Taylor Swift has confirmed she hasn’t forgotten about her 2020 album ‘Evermore’ despite fans claiming she’s ignoring it.
Swift revealed she has warm feelings for “Evermore” before performing her song “Champagne Problems” to a sold-out State Farm Stadium during The Eras’ first tour in Glendale, Ariz., on Friday.
“The ‘Evermore’ album, which is an album that I absolutely love, despite what some of you say about TikTok,” Swift said while playing the piano.
“Oh, I’ve seen him, I’ve seen them all.”
The comment comes after Swifties claimed the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter forgot about “Evermore” after failing to acknowledge her 2021 birthday.
One fan theorized that Swift’s lack of recognition meant would use a line from “Back in December” to announce a release date for “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”, however, the new recording has yet to appear.
Another fan wrote that the album was “on a bench in Coney Island” wondering where Swift went, Elite Daily noted.
Swift, who performed five songs from “Evermore” on Friday, showed that she knew about the album, even as fans turned their attention to the “Speak Now” singer’s realization that she had a song on the set list.
Swift will continue her first tour in five years until August.
