Discover the sequence of actions and choices that are considered questionable by ‘Tarzan’ fans
Inspired by ‘Tarzan of the Apes’, book by Edgar Rice Burroughsreleased in 1912, the disney brought to theaters in 1999, ‘tarzan‘, animation that presents the story of the man who was raised by monkeys and grew up in the forest, but who discovers new possibilities when interacting with other humans for the first time.
In the middle of the dangerous African jungle, a mother gorilla takes in an orphaned human baby whom she names Tarzan. Tarzan grows up alongside the female monkey Terk and the clumsy elephant Tantor. When the beautiful Jane comes to the forest, he begins to discover his human side as well. With five songs written by Phil Collins and performed by Ed Motta, “Tarzan” shows us the true meaning of family and accepting differences.
Even though it’s one of the studio’s classics, there are some moments in the film that make little sense. With that in mind, we’ve put together a list of 5 questionable moments from ‘Tarzan’ below. Check out!
1. The Tree House
After being shipwrecked, Tarzan’s parents manage to sail a boat to the forest, where they build a beautiful and ornate tree house so that they can live with their baby son, as well as bridges so that they can move around more easily.
However, the speed at which the builds were completed doesn’t compete with reality, as it seems only a few weeks have passed since they arrived in the jungle, as Tarzan doesn’t seem to have grown a bit since then.
Also, where did all that furniture, fabrics and decorations come from? The boat they used contained few boxes of supplies, so it’s not explained where so much equipment came from in such a short time.
2. Glide over the trees
Some of the coolest moments in ‘Tarzan’ are seen when the film’s title character glides over the trees, providing fun and adventure-filled scenes, but how is that possible? are there splinters on your feet? how does he even get hurt?
3. A prodigy?
Everything Tarzan knows was taught by his adoptive family, which is made up of apes, so he doesn’t know how to behave or communicate like a human. Despite this, he seems to learn very quickly, which is really a surprise, given that Jane, his father, and Clayton are not supposed to have stayed in the forest very long.
4. No injuries
During the plot, it is possible to see several battles against Sabor, the tiger that is thirsty for new meat, such as those experienced by Kala, Clayton and Tarzan himself. But, although the fights caused scratches, and could cause serious injuries, in the next scene the characters appear without any injuries.
5. Tarzan not finding his home
The tree house built by Tarzan’s parents was at a high point in the forest, but the man never even saw the home in which he lived his first days of life – and this is one of Tarzan’s non-actions that make the least sense, since he was always exploring the place, so it wouldn’t be hard to spot a house made of wood and trees.
