Every fan of Disney films has dreamed of personally visiting some classic locations from the famous animations, such as the princesses’ castles, the village where Belle lives, or even going to Hercules’ Olympus. But, did you know that some of these famous locations exist in real life and can actually be visited?

1. Ruins of the city of Athens, Greece | Hercules

If you are a fan of Hercules, Greece is a must on your travel agenda. In the city of Athens there are several ruins of ancient Greek temples that served as inspiration for the film that can be visited by the public.


2. Regent’s Park, London | 101 Dalmatians

The whole story of 101 Dalmatians takes place in the city of London, in the capital of England — but there is one place in particular that every animation lover should visit: Regent’s Park. It is there that the very cute encounter between Roger and Anita and Pongo and Perdita takes place.


3. Antony House in England | Alice in Wonderland live action

Anyone who watched the live-action Alice in Wonderland certainly remembers the scene in which Alice refuses Hamish’s marriage proposal, shortly before falling down the rabbit hole and ending up in Wonderland. The entire prom scene and proposal were recorded at Antony House, in Torpoint, England, and it is also open to visitors.


4. Tour d’Argent, France | Ratatouille

Did you know that Gusteau’s restaurant actually exists? It is called Tour d’Argent, and is located in Paris, France. As with the animation, the place is also awarded with Michelin stars, and is extremely sophisticated, with dishes starting at 365 reais.


5. Mont Saint-Michel on the coast of Normandy | rolled up

Who has never dreamed of visiting a princess’s castle, right? Tangled fans can make that dream come true by visiting the island of Mont Saint-Michel, located off the coast of Normandy, which served as the inspiration for the Kingdom of Corona. In addition, the Mont Saint-Michel Abbey was responsible for inspiring Rapunzel’s grandiose castle, and can also be visited.
