Successor to Generation Z, These children born in 2010 are growing up in a changing world full of contradictions… And will have the difficult task of facing the challenges of tomorrow.
In 2030 they will be 20 years old. By 2025, they will represent approximately 2.5 billion of the world’s population, which will count as 9. The planet will never be so populated, periods of heat waves will be more frequent. Raised in the context of global warming and resource depletion, they will have to deal with the end of abundance by finding solutions to combat it. For them, everything remains to be built, and that is why they were baptized with the first letter of the Greek alphabet, alphas. This name was given to them by the Australian Mark McCrindle, a social scientist who saw in this age group, born from 2010, the year of the iPad and Instagram, what he also calls the “glass generation”, meaning: the screens they were exposed to from a young age.
