Crowned with two Victoires de la music in 2020 and 2021, Claire Pomme, aka Pomme, signs a third album full of poetry at the age of 26 and embarks on an international tour. My news?
Comfort, my second reissued album arranged with Flavien Berger. After the success of my first record, Loopholes, I was afraid of not finding inspiration anymore. But music has accompanied me since childhood, from my first steps in choirs to learning the cello. So I started. I used to invent guitar-sounding melodies like sound cards that evoke a sense of comfort that one feels in childhood. They pay tribute to all the women, including singer Barbara, who have helped me be myself throughout my life. It’s an album that’s both organic and with touches of electro and classical music, remnants of my past.

My role Silver Venus By Helena Klotz?
The film tells the story of a modern young woman, similar to a manga character, who wants to break free from her social status and succeed in the financial world. She confronts a world dominated by men, sexism and power games. I recognized myself in certain situations that she goes through and I also enjoyed discovering the challenges of being a business woman. Helena gave me a lot of freedom in creating the character. We shot last fall and the movie will be released in 2023. It is not well known, but since childhood I dreamed of being an actress. I even auditioned to play Edith Piaf as a child The child, but I didn’t get the role because I didn’t have blue eyes. Later, I was also kept in the casting of a film with Lily-Rose Depp, which ultimately did not happen.
Who is Apple, my character?
I love life, I’m curious, proactive, smiling and very intense… And then I’m an artist, so hypersensitive, sometimes restless and of course obsessive. I am afraid of inertia, death, being forgotten. I want to be heard and watched. I embrace duality.

Is it bad luck talking about myself in a promo?
On the contrary, it allows me to get to know myself better. It is a self-centered process, therefore quite enjoyable. Except when the questions are only about my dark side, which is only one facet of me. Barbara was always portrayed as a dark performer, but her friends said she was funny and light-hearted.
Am I in temptation mode or a warrior?
Before the interview, I adopt warrior mode. I tell myself I’m not going to let myself go. But sometimes the situation means that you don’t feel in a position of strength. We tell ourselves that being there is already a huge opportunity, an honor, and we blow it. It all depends on the context.
My ideal outfit for an interview: casual or dressy?
I really like turtlene and black. It’s an outfit that’s hard to criticize, a safe bet in the face of the Internet’s woes. If it’s a video interview, I get ready and put on makeup like I’m going to a show. But I don’t dress like a concert.
Is there a misunderstanding about me?
The fact that I’m being described as a hipster who smokes roll cigarettes and weed. I don’t smoke and I’m not a hippie. I grew up in a practicing Catholic family, I have a BA in Literature and I’m pretty classical… Romantic-Gothic if you really want to define me.
Last time I was proud of myself?
When I managed to create a vegetable garden in the offices of my label, Universal. I also pride myself on printing my album covers on recycled paper. And I’m looking for solutions adapted to the ecological footprint of the tour, because we travel and carry a lot of stuff.
Helena Klotz’s film “Silver Venus” will soon appear in cinemas. “Consolation”, universal. Pomme will be performing at the Olympia in Paris on April 3rd and 4th.
