Senator Steve Danes (R-Mont.) Teased her this week after comparing women and fetuses to sea turtles, eagles and their eggs when he passed the Democrat-proposed bill that would guarantee abortion rights under of federal law.

According to Daines ’analogy, delivered to the Senate chamber with visual aids, the law would give fruits less protection than turtle and eagle eggs.

“If you took or broke the turtle eggs, now I say eggs. Not just Lukma, but also A. [unintelligible], Criminal punishment is severe. A fine of up to $ 100,000 and up to one year in prison. “Why now?” Said Daines.

The laws it implies protect turtle and bald eagle nests from humans because these species are on the brink of extinction. There is no law that prohibits females from behaving the way they want with their eggs.

Democrats introduced the Women’s Health Act to protect access to abortion for millions of women, following the escape of a majority bill showing the Supreme Court was ready to overturn the historic 1973 abortion rights case, Roe v. Wade and continues for five decades to advance women’s rights.

Dains’s argument surfaced on social media:

1. Humans are not an endangered species.

2. We have laws against others physically abusing pregnant women.

3. We have no law against turtles and eagles breaking or destroying their own eggs or leaving their young.

4. Republicans often make the funniest analogies https://t.co/9H3YVhZjoZ

Among other things, because sea turtles and eagles have no constitutional rights as equal citizens of the United States, but hey, none of the women seem to have it. https://t.co/1ZACZGq2Ab

I mean … why are they endangered species? Unlike many other animal eggs, humans break them every day (chicken, duck, quail, etc.).

FWIW, I am definitely opposed to the forced spawning / spawning of turtles or eagles against their will, as I am a female. 🤷🏽‍♀️ https://t.co/vYrmWl1uox

.@Steve Daines Just compare females to turtles and eagles. Even now I am troubled that so many men, most of whom do not know how the base period works, have the right to legalize my fertility rights. https://t.co/Q59Gu99LkI

As a conservation biologist, I can’t predict that evil turtles will be used to take away my rights from me.

din, @stevedaine In 2019-2020, he voted for conservation interests in 40% of the primary vote.

People don’t know enough about eggs or wildlife. https://t.co/VTDibKS3td

I agree that women deserve the same protection as sea turtles.

The part comparing abortion to turtle eggs should not be held accountable.

Don’t throw away my uterus.

Steve Danes makes the dumbest argument of all time.

Sea turtles and bald eagles are endangered species, not humans.

You’re kidding me with this bullshit, aren’t you ?!

Senator Danes on abortion: “Why do we have a law to protect turtle eggs?”

Females do not compete with turtles

We are exceptionally bright and inflexible people who strive to be masters of our destiny.

I want to go to the post. I am not a sea urchin. Steve Danes is embarrassing for Montana.

Sir, is it true that the constitution protects your body differently than how it * controls * the sea turtle? pic.twitter.com/kSk6byfljl
