Dave Chapel’s surprising Hollywood Cup comedy didn’t make it to Netflix.
On Monday, Netflix announced that Chapelle’s latest, infamous show had taken place. Netflix is a joke The festival will not appear on the titanium streaming platform along with other content from its first comedy festival.
The seasonal comedian staged four sold out shows between late April and early May at the Hollywood Bowl. The man, carrying a copy of the weapon, had a knife glued to the chapel at his last presentation.
Police arrested Isaiah Lee, a 23-year-old suspect in the attack, and have now charged Lee with misconduct. Chapelle was not injured and continued his set until his defense team faced the striker.
Prior to the festival, Netflix clarified that it never intended to share Chapelle’s performances with viewers because her footage was not specifically filmed.
The streaming service made the decision before it hit Chapel last week, THR reported.

Netflix plans to release several records from its comedy festival in the coming weeks, including performances by Snoop Dogg, Bill Barr, Pete Davidson, David Letterman, Amy Schumer, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.
THR reported that Chapel’s personal team shot his segments using their own cameras.
It’s currently not known if Chapel will finally release the footage, but it’s clearly not part of Netflix’s plans.
The latest satirical comic special, The Closer, debuted on Netflix last year and caused a backlash in Chapel’s LGBTQ + commentary. Netflix employees rallied to protest the company’s decision on the streaming special.
However, Netflix refused to sever the relationship with the artist.
