BLACKPINK’s Lisa tells details of how she decided to become an idol

In a recent interview, the BLACKPINK maknae commented more on how she became interested in k-pop

At the moment, Lisa, a member of BLACKPINK, is one of the most successful K-pop idols in the industry. In addition to being successful in the group, the star also achieved impressive numbers with her solo debut “LALISA”. But, how did the Thai woman decide to enter the world of Korean pop music?

In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR SG magazine, Lisa revealed that he remembers exactly when his love for dance and k-pop first started. At the time, she said:

“I remember the moment I fell in love with dance — the first time I watched a K-pop idol perform in Thailand is still vivid in my mind. Captivated by the powerful performance and its energy, I decided to learn to dance and pursue my dream of being a singer.”

The BLACKPINK maknae even commented that, as she started to explore new dance genres, she also realized that she “was totally fascinated by music”.

“As I learned and explored different genres of dance, I naturally became interested in music, which made me realize that I was totally fascinated by music and dance,” says Lisa.

In the record book

In January of this year, Guinness World Records announced that Lisa won three new world records as a K-pop solo artist “confirmed by his outstanding 2022 awards season”, as the publication says.

According to the entity, the BLACKPINK member is the first k-pop soloist to win an award at the VMA in the Best k-pop Video category and at the EMA for Best k-pop, in addition to also having become the k-pop artist with the most followers on Instagram with more than 86 million followers.

But does not stop there! BLACKPINK also has their own Guinness records. The YG Entertainment girl group is the holder of the titles for most subscribers by a band on YouTube, first K-pop group to reach number one on the UK Albums Chart (Female) and first k-pop group to reach number one on the US album chart (female).
