Check out some unmissable animations to celebrate International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day, celebrated today, March 8, is a milestone of women’s achievements in the 70. The date was created by the United Nations (UN), and is an opportunity to empower women around the world. From early childhood, it is possible to positively impact girls, mainly through art, whether with books, series and animated films.
Fiction plays an important role in stimulating and developing skills in childhood. “The ludic allows the child to explore other universes and perspectives, see that subject or feeling in the voice of characters, the imaginary is important for a peaceful childhood”, reinforces the coordinator of Elementary School Anos Iniciais of Colégio Marista Paranaense, Sheila Lippmann.
Animation films are a good opportunity to introduce children to an imaginary world, through feelings experienced in the story. For girls in particular, drawings can empower and impact moments in life. to the psychologist Michele Morais Santos, from the Marist Social School Sr. Lourenço, female representation strengthens the bond between children and their history.
“It is important to show on screen characters that present children with a universe of possibilities. So it is possible for her to find elements and values in that story that she can take into her life and, thus, believe that she can be whoever she wants to be”, he reinforces.
For Michele, the mediation of the parents also counts when watching the cartoons. “If possible, keep a dialogue with the child while the character goes through sad, adverse or happy situations. It is at this moment that conversations can arise about feelings or events that until then were guarded”, he reveals.
