Check Out Some ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Facts That Confused Fans
Launched in 2007, “Wizards of Waverly Place” is part of the golden Disney Channel series of the 2000s. Selena Gomez, david henrie It is Jake T Austin it had four seasons, and was the winner of three Emmy Awards, the main award of American television.
The success of the series was so great that it spawned its own feature film, “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie”, released in 2009, which features the Russo family on a trip to the Caribbean. However, despite the franchise being extremely beloved to this day, fans managed to notice some points in the story that don’t make much sense — and Recreio will present you 5 of them now. Check out!
1. The Need for a Wizarding Contest
From the beginning of the series, it is made clear that the competition of sorcerers is something extremely significant for the Russos, since only one of them would be responsible for carrying the family’s magic. The dispute ends up testing not only their magical abilities, but also their relationship as a family, after all, after years of studying spells, two of them would return to being mere mortals when it all came to an end.
The big question is that, even though it is explicit that competition is extremely important for the entire sorcerer community, it has never been explained exactly why only one wizard from each family gets the powers.
2. Different competitions?
Throughout the franchise, it’s said quite often about how the wizard competition works. However, as found by the ScreenRant portal, this information ended up getting a little confusing over the years.
To begin with, in the film, we see an intelligence dispute, which seeks to determine which competitor is the best using only the four elements: air, fire, earth and water. Already in the series, during the final episodes, the competition is focused on various uses of magic, even with trivial questions about potions and spells, as well as a test in a maze, something that did not happen in the feature.

But does not stop there! In previous episodes, Jerry, father of Justin, Alex and Max, even commented that the competition had a written part – which did not appear when it was time for them to compete. Another point that also left everyone confused is that, in the third season, Stevie’s brother, Warren, reveals that after the family wizard is elected, there is a separate ceremony for the transfer of power to occur. However, with the Russos, everything happens in the same place.
3. Does Mason not age?
The werewolf Mason was one of Alex’s most defining boyfriends in the entire franchise. One of his most surprising plots, however, is when it was revealed that he already had a brief romance hundreds of years ago with the vampire Juliet, Justin’s girlfriend.

Because they recognized each other, it is possible to understand that, even years later, Mason would not have changed his physical appearance, despite having a very advanced age. The problem is that it was never explained how long it takes a werewolf to age according to the show’s mythology.
4. Justin and Zeke never went to college
During the series, it was always made clear the great academic capacity of Justin and his best friend, Zeke. Because they are excellent students, it would not be difficult for both of them to get into great universities – where the oldest Russo even showed interest in studying medicine during one of the episodes.

But what doesn’t make sense is that, in the end, neither of them went to college. While Justin ended up focusing more on the wizard competition, Zeke appears to be working as a traffic cop, and never mentions college.
5. Max’s lack of recognition

Max, the youngest of the Russos, was known to be one of the funniest brothers, and who never cared much about studies. Despite not being the smartest, at certain times in the series, the boy ends up demonstrating moments of extreme cleverness that ended up not being recognized. Why did this happen? Nobody knows.
